I’ve always found small downtown theaters adorable. This particular movie theater in Charleston, IL (my college town) closed about four years ago. I like to think the owners decided to retire and move to Florida, which may be the case. Before they fled for warmer weather, they left Here and Now on the marquee. It reminded me that we need to live in the Here and Now, regardless of where life takes us. How poetic!? There’s my fortune cookie quote for the day!
This outfit is one of my favorites. These are my go-to, feeling frumpy, need to feel good jeans from Miss Me. We all have a pair of those feel good jeans, right? Or maybe it’s your favorite leggings. My thick knit sweater was a gift from my fashionista Nana. Let’s talk about this hat though. I’m obsessed with it. TJ Maxx always has the best hats for a great price. I wear it a dangerous amount to class everyday. I know that’s against fashion police rules to wear one particular item too often, but I don’t care. Arrest me! Another thing you should be arrested for (not literally of course) is stealing/borrowing your best friends pair of nude heels from her closet. I’m not saying these shoes aren’t mine, but I’m not saying they are (thanks Kelly). I snagged this Gap plaid scarf on Black Friday in NYC on a quick business trip to Fox News Studios. Hands down one of the coolest experiences of my life. I had the opportunity to chill back stage during Fox and Friends on Small Business Saturday. Needless to say I was taking selfies like my life depended on it. Camera men were giving looks of slight judgement but I didn’t mind one bit. This uber soft scarf reminds of that trip and how dreams can come true. All that from a simple scarf you ask? Absolutely.
